Join us on Saturday, November 23rd from 10:30am - 2:30pm at Dharma Trading in San Rafael. This four-hour workshop led by educator and natural dyer Lisa Rogers will explore the basics of ecoprinting with leaves. This workshop will explore different techniques, including tannins and iron and ecoprints on paper. We will take a 45 minute lunch break while pieces simmer away. Participants will create their leaf print designs on a pre-mordanted silk piece. It can be used as a scarf, runner or wall hanging. This piece measures approximately 11” X 60” This class is limited to 8 participants. Cost $110/each. No materials or experience needed. Workshop fee includes all necessary materials and instruction. She worked as a science and garden educator and began following a creative path with natural dyeing. Lisa first learned about ecoprinting, printing leaves on fabric and paper, over a decade ago. Through reading, online workshops and a lot of experimentation, she aims to create functional, fun, one of a kind pieces, hand dyed or printed using botanicals.
