Postponed to Saturday, June 21st!! Experience the magic of plant colors! Join us at SoCo Trading's back patio for a 2-hour workshop. Use dried botanicals and an insect (cochineal) to create a custom, bundle dyed silk neckerchief/bandana. Mimosas and light bites will be enjoyed at this creative gathering. This workshop led by educator and natural dyer Lisa Rogers will cover the basics of natural dyeing along with how to modify colors with pH and iron. Overview of natural dyes found in the kitchen, compost bin and available stores. 10:30am - 12:30pm Sonoma County Trading Company 117 E. She worked as a science and garden educator and began following a creative path through natural dyeing. Lisa first learned about ecoprinting, printing leaves on fabric and paper, over a decade ago and was captivated. Through reading, workshops and a lot of experimentation, she aims to create functional, fun pieces, printed with botanicals. Lisa shares her passion through workshops around the Bay Area.
