You can design on half (my preference) or the full bandana. Most of the designs below were created at workshops on half a bandana. The other half was folded over the design before being rolled up and tied with string. You can create endless patterns and designs or go for a more minimalistic approach. There is no right or wrong, just have fun!

 

Always work with a moist bandana. If it dries out while you are creating, you can spray it or wet it out again before steaming.

You can add onion skin (yellow and red) to give more texture and color to your piece.
